Met Shri Umaprasad Mookerjee at Badrinathe Temple. Stayed at Ganga Prasad house when visiting him. Every day many visitors came to have a glimpse and had surprise meeting with Shri Umarasadji. There was water in the well throughout the year. Plants had grown and gave pleasant environment. Had the opportunity to be there when Justice & Mrs. Rama Prasad Mookerjee were there. Great memories.

Totally false comment because the owner of this lodge is very careful for the guest and the lodge has homely environment and good homely food.Location is excellent.

The owner traps the guest in sweet conversion ,finally he pick pockets. one has to ruined be careful! Better to go Leelawati or Mr. ansari's Bunglow.

Rooms 1 and 5 are very small and does not have necessary furniture. The charges for these two rooms should be significantly less than the other three ground floor rooms. The cleaning of toilets was non-existence. Bedsheets were torn and dirty. There were stray dogs roaming about inside the guest house. Ambience was peaceful.

Spent four days recently. Very gentle and cooperative owner. Comfortable stay with good food and service. Load shedding was frequent on all the days but there was inverter back up. Excellent front garden with variety of roses, in particular. Owner must try to improve the kitchen hygiene, toilet & bath upkeep, quality of bedsheets and get rid of presence of stray dogs (about 7 or 8) within the premises.

The Writer of the nasty comments should apologise to the Down to earth people , trying to honestly serve the tourists, dishing out good food at a minimum cost, this place offers a decent stay. The problems of tenants & school is bogus. More mosquitos are found in kolkata . The power situation is the same all over Jharkhand and the place has Inverters and generators,to the rescue. No problem in the Winter.The tourists are picked up and dropped by the Guest Houses transport. Boleros are available for tours to Simultala , Giridih , Tarapith at very economic rates. Should better be avoided, unless you are on a very tight budget.

Dr. Amal Chandra Mitra son of Rai Bahadur Motilal Mitra lived there till early 1970. Dr. Amal Chandra Mitra was also a very renowned doctor in Madhupur and Mihijam . Perhaps Rai Bahadur Motilal Mitra lived in Madhupur since 1890 and Dr Mitra started his carrier as doctor since late thirties..

I fully agree that this is an excellent place to stay and enjoy.

I have seen the comment but I do not know how some one can post such misleading information when it is an excellent place to stay backed by excellent service and food.Regarding power cut I would like to mention that there is power cut through out the Jharkhand state and ther is back up generator available which provides uninterrupted power till 10 P.M. and on request it continues further. Honestly, it is the best place to relax away from the maddening crowd and the guest house has got it's own pick up and drp facility from railway station. above all the you get best of everything at a very reasonable price.
